She’s probably better than you, too.

One of basketball’s so-called “lost arts” is the mid-range jump shot, when a player puts it up from around 8–17 feet from the hoop. Coincidentally, it’s also one of the few things this author does semi-well on a basketball court.

Well, today is a little humbling because Lilo the Pembroke Welsh corgi is way, way better at it—and she doesn’t even need hands. The dog, who lives in Houston, has spent part of the COVID-19 pandemic learning several trick shots with her owner, Denny Ku.

Instagram videos—under the superb @aircorg username—show Ku tossing an inflatable basketball to Lilo, who deftly bops the ball into the miniature hoop or what looks like a laundry basket. The 5-year-old pup has racked up millions of views on Instagram and TikTok.

In perhaps her most impressive shot, she knocks the ball in from a second-story balcony.

Two in a row? No problem.

Moving target? Well, eventually.

Ku tells ABC News he got the trick-shot idea after seeing Lilo play with balloons after a birthday party earlier this year.

“I think it took about 30 minutes for her to make the first [shot], but once she made it, we were like, ‘Oh my God, we have a star,’” he tells ABC. He added that Lilo—aka Steff Furry—can now make a standard shot within her first two or three attempts.

Anyway, there’s no point in more words distracting you from the glorious basketball boops.
