Hello, my name is Maya.

Welcome to Daily Paws, brought to you by me and my good friend, Lancelot.

I am, or was, an female American breed German Shepherd. Born in 1971, I spent most of my life in New York City and Mill Valley, California. I loved wrestling, wandering, eating meat, chasing squirrels and warning - at the top of my lungs - all deer and other critters to stay away from my property. It was a great life.

Lancelot and I decided to create Daily Paws in the summer of 2006. After a few weeks of woofing back and forth we hired Linus, an antarctic penguin, to build design and build the site. It took a lot longer than we expected, but the site finally went live around the end of the year.

I hope you like Daily Paws. We have big plans for it, and hope you will help us along with feedback. But mostly I hope you will have fun while you are here.
