This is my boy, my pride and joy..this is Bubba. I picked Bubba up the afternoon on Christmas Eve of 2006, he is the best thing that has happened to me in so many years. He is a blessing, what I consider a gift from God. I can't get enough of him. Bubba is the first dog I've had since I was eight or nine years old, I'm now in my early 40's.
This photo was taken right after his very first haircut. When this photo was taken, Bubba was four months old and was just one big ball of fur. He was two months past due for a haircut. Bubba was at the groomer's close to four hours, and when I returned to pick him up, and when I first saw him, I could not believe what I was seeing! He looked so different. He was clean cut, lookin good and if I did'nt know any better, I'd swear he lost five or six pounds in just a matter of hours, he was so darn cute I could'nt keep my hands and eyes off of him.
Before we left for his haircut, I thought it would be a good idea to take some before and after pictures. These are the two pictures I have posted of him.
Looking at his "after" picture, I often wondered what Bubba was thinking at that exact time I shot the photo, and if he could only talk, what would he have said or asked me?
I finally narrowed it down to what I felt could only be two possibilities.
The first, possibly would be, while thinking to himself, that, "he likes how it feels, but at the same time, he's still not sure of how it looks. He now feels he could use a little reassurance as to how his "new-doo" really does look. He then turns to me and asks, "Does this haircut make my head look big?"
Or, it's just the opposite, He is ticked off. He is not happy with the results of his "new-doo", not one bit. But I love it, so I feel I need to start taking the "after" photo's immeadiatly. As I proceed to take the first picture, Bubba turns, and looks at me thinking to himself, "So you think I look cute, huh? Well that just figures, you would, I hardly have any hair left and it's still winter outside, just look at me!! Grrrrrr... and would you please put the camera down and just drive? C'mon, let's go! Take me home now! Oh and by the way, don't talk to me and don't even think about touching me! lol
