About Us

Daily Paws is the leading online destination for animals and those who love them. We are dedicated to bringing you the cutest animals on the web. We put them in a format where you can see as many animal photos as possible, and where you get to participate by voting on which animals you like the most. Visit regularly, for the cutest pause of your day.

With our unique slide show feature, you can see animal photos all day long, running in a corner of your screen even while you work. Plus, you can form group competitions, allowing you to settle once and for all your “whose pet is cutest” arguments.

But Daily Paws is more than cute. We offer forums where you can discuss animal topics with other animal lovers. We have tips on grooming, training and health. And Daily Paws also helps animals find loving homes by putting adoptable animals right on the catwalk with everyone else. Just look for the little green “Adopt Me!” sign.

The Daily Paws team:

Maya

I did a lot of roaming in my youth, knew every dumpster in the 94941. I made a lot of friends over old soup bones and leftover Chinese food. As I got older, though, I wandered less and less, and the friends I made weren’t exactly welcome around the homestead. Howling into the valley late at night wasn’t quite the same as being there, and I always wondered when the weather got cold what had become of the strays.

One day last spring I was reminiscing about the old gang, and I pondered what had become of them. I wondered how many had kept warm homes, as I had, right to the end, and I wished I had shared more of my bowl and found some of them secret places under the garage. It was about that time that Lancelot and I hooked up again, and the idea for Daily Paws was whelped.

I run the Daily Paws web site. I guess I spend too much time with flow diagrams, growling under my breath. When I’m not at the laptop I dream of re-starting the old Canine Ultimate Frisbee League.

Lancelot

I was wandering around my old neighborhood trying to find some of my long-lost kittens when I thought to myself, “Lancelot, old man, there has to be a better way to search for animals.” What if I could look through photos instead? But even if I had pictures of a zillion kittens, how would I find mine? Well of course my kittens would be the cutest on earth, so what if I could sort all those kitten pictures by cuteness. An idea was born. Then I ran into Maya (on MySpace, oddly enough), and it turns out the same idea had been germinating in her shepherd head. Two ideas combined with eight paws – who needs opposable thumbs? – and soon enough we had a web site.

Now I run the marketing at Daily Paws, meaning that I am responsible for crafting our public image and developing partnerships. I am also our CBCO, or Chief Black Cat Officer, and I take that role very seriously, aggressively crossing the path of any Daily Paws rivals or unruly vendors. In my spare time, I am a competitive crumpled paper ball chaser.
